NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine states with regret the lack of real progress in negotiations with OJSC Gazprom. The Russian side continues to hold an unconstructive stance and claims unconditional payment of all rendered invoices that also include the disputed amounts of funds.

Ukraine has again pointed to the need for a package agreement that will regulate the reimbursement of rendered invoices on one hand, and further terms of gas supply to Ukraine that comprise the issue of temporary gas price to the end of the dispute by negotiations or arbitration settlement, on the other hand.

The Russian Federation also disagreed with the European Commission's proposal over the resolving of the conflict.

NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine once again confirmed its readiness to settle all the unpaid bills via a civilized compromise that will ensure uninterrupted gas supplies to Ukraine.

Considering that current negotiations were ineffectual, the next round of trilateral negotiations is expected before the end of this week.
